About the Walk for PKD
The annual Walk for PKD is the signature fundraising and public awareness event for the PKD Foundation, and the largest gathering of PKD patients, family, friends and supporters; nearly 10,000 strong. More than 50 Walks occur every year in cities across the nation. Since PKD affects both children and adults, the Walk is a family-oriented event that honors and supports loved ones, creates a sense of community and provides hope for a better tomorrow.
The Walk for PKD has raised more than $20 million since 2000. This has helped move us closer to finding treatments. The money also helps provide education and support services, both online and in local communities. To learn about what this money has funded over the years, and recent developments in research – including the priority review by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of what may be the first treatment for PKD – click here.
We've made great strides but need your help in keeping the momentum going. With your help, we can look forward to a time when no one will have to suffer the full effects of PKD. Sign up today and unite to fight PKD!
